Eligible and interested candidates can start applying online to secure a clerical cadre position across participating Public Sector Banks. Candidates can register for the posts on the official website at ibps.in from 1st August 2026 to 21st August 2026.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially released the detailed notification for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP CSA-XVI) 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 11,403 indicative vacancies for the post of Customer Service Associate (CSA) – Clerical cadre across 11 participating Public Sector Banks for the vacancy cycle of 2027-28.
Eligible and interested graduates looking for a career in the banking sector can submit their online applications starting from August 1, 2026, on the official IBPS website. Candidates are required to apply for vacancies in only one specific State or Union Territory.

IBPS CRP Clerks-XVI Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must be either –
- a Citizen of India or
- a subject of Nepal or
- a subject of Bhutan or
- a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualifications
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory, i.e. candidates should have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
Age (As on 01.08.2026)
Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years
The candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2006 (both dates inclusive).

Salary Details

The CSA will be eligible for allowances & perquisites as per rules of the Participating Bank in force from time to time

General/OBC/EWS/All Others: Rs. 850/- (inclusive of GST)

Selection Process
The IBPS Clerk selection process comprises the following stages:
Online Preliminary Examination: A qualifying objective test.
Online Main Examination: The final selection will be based solely on the scores obtained in the Main examination.
Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): Candidates must clear this test before joining if they lack 10th standard or above certification in the specified local language.
(Note: There is no interview round for the clerical cadre)
