UPPCB AEE & ASO Recruitment 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Environmental Engineer (AEE) and Assistant Scientific Officer (ASO). Vacancy Details

The UPPCB has announced a total of 40 vacancies, including 26 posts for Assistant Environmental Engineers and 14 for Assistant Scientific Officers. These positions are temporary, and the number of vacancies may vary.

Education Details

Candidates must possess the following qualifications from a university established by law in India:

• Assistant Environmental Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.

  • OR Associate Member of the Institute of Engineers India (AMIE) in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering branches.

• Assistant Scientific Officer:

  • Doctorate in Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, or Biochemistry with three years of experience in Environment, Pollution Control, or Public Health.

  • OR Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, or Biochemistry with five years of experience in Environment, Pollution Control, or Public Health.

Salary

Selected candidates for both Assistant Environmental Engineer and Assistant Scientific Officer posts will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-10.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 Years

• Maximum Age: 40 Years

• Cut-off Date: Age is calculated as on July 1, 2025.

• Relaxation:

  • 5 Years: For SC, ST, OBC, skilled sportspersons of Uttar Pradesh, and State Government employees of Uttar Pradesh.

  • 15 Years: For candidates belonging to the disabled category.

  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years relaxation in addition to their years of service (maximum relaxation up to 15 years).

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a total of 470 marks distributed across two stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT):

   • Total Marks: 400.

   • Duration: 120 Minutes.

   • Pattern: 100 Objective type questions (70 Subject-specific + 30 General Aptitude).

   • Marking Scheme: +4 for correct answers, -1 for wrong answers.

2. Interview:

   • Total Marks: 70.

   • Candidates are called for the interview based on the merit list prepared from CBT scores.
