The recruitment drive was initiated to fill a total of 198 vacancies, split into 84 for TST and 114 for MST across various zones in Telangana. The examination consisted of 200 objective-type questions for each post, held in two separate sessions. A total of 15,796 candidates appeared for the TST exam, and 4,817 appeared for the MST exam. Following the written test, a detailed certificate verification process was conducted on April 16 and 17, 2026, at the Police Training College in Amberpet for candidates shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio based on merit.
