Selection Criteria

The recruitment process for the UPSSSC Council House Guard and Fire Guard is highly competitive and is divided into specific stages to evaluate the candidates’ knowledge and physical fitness.

  • PET Shortlisting: Candidates are initially shortlisted for the main examination based on their normalized scores from the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025.

UPSSSC Vidhan Bhawan Guard Exam Pattern

The main written examination consists of a single objective-type question paper designed to test candidates across various disciplines. Candidates will have to answer 100 multiple-choice questions within a strict time limit of 2 hours (120 minutes). Each correct answer is awarded one mark. Candidates must be cautious, as there is a negative marking scheme where 25% (1/4th) of a mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
