APPSC Forest Department Age Limit
- Age Range: Typically, direct recruitment under APPSC requires candidates to be between 18 and 42 years of age.

The recruitment is conducted through a single-level online examination without any preliminary screening test:
- Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT):
- Forest Range Officer (600 Marks): Qualifying Test in English & Telugu (100 Marks, SSC Standard) + Paper-I (General Studies & Mental Ability – 150M) + Paper-II (Mathematics – 150M) + Paper-III (General Forestry-I – 150M) + Paper-IV (General Forestry-II – 150M).
- Forest Section Officer (450 Marks): Qualifying Test in English & Telugu (100 Marks) + Paper-I (General Studies & Mental Ability – 150M) + Paper-II (Mathematics – 150M) + Paper-III (General Forestry – 150M).
- Forest Beat Officer (200 Marks): Qualifying Essay in English/Telugu/Urdu (50 Marks) + Paper-I (General Studies & Mental Ability – 100M) + Paper-II (General Science & General Mathematics – 100M).
- Draughtsman Grade-II (300 Marks): Paper-I (General Studies & Mental Ability – 150M) + Paper-II (ITI Civil Draughtsman – 150M).
- Negative Marking: $1/3^{\text{rd}}$ of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer across objective papers.
- Physical / Walking Test & Medical Exam: Mandatory for FRO (ratio 1:3), FSO (ratio 1:2), and FBO (ratio 1:2), conducted by a Medical Board arranged by the Forest Department.
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Practical test of 60 minutes for 100 marks covering Office Automation and MS Office applications (Qualifying Marks: SC/ST/PH – 30, BCs – 35, OCs – 40).
