TG AGRICET & AGRIENGGCET 2026: Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, has released the official admission notification and prospectus for AGRICET-2026 and AGRIENGGCET-2026. These state-level entrance examinations facilitate lateral entry admissions into the first year of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) degree programmes for the academic year 2026–2027.

Course-Wise Eligibility Criteria

1. B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture (AGRICET-2026)

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed or been awarded a Diploma in Agriculture from PJTSAU / PJTAU / ANGRAU. Outgoing students of the 2025–26 academic year who have completed all award requirements are also eligible to apply.
• In-Service Candidates: Agricultural Extension Officers (AEOs) of the Department of Agriculture, Horticulture, or other public sector organizations under the Govt. of Telangana holding a 2-year Diploma in Agriculture.

2. B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) (AGRIENGGCET-2026)

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed or been awarded a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from PJTSAU / PJTAU / ANGRAU. Outgoing students of the 2025–26 academic year are also eligible.
• In-Service Candidates: Agricultural Extension Officers (AEOs) of the Department of Agriculture, Horticulture, or other public sector organizations under the Govt. of Telangana holding a 3-year Diploma in Agricultural Engineering.

Age Limit (As on December 31, 2026)

• AGRICET-2026:
  • General / OBC: Minimum 17 years and maximum 22 years.
  • SC / ST Candidates: Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years.
  • Physically Handicapped (PH): Upper age limit is relaxed up to 27 years.
  • In-Service Employees: Maximum age limit is 45 years.
• AGRIENGGCET-2026:
  • General / OBC: Minimum 17 years and maximum 23 years.

Seat Matrix & Intake

Reservation Policy: 85% of regular seats are reserved for local candidates of the Osmania University (OU) area as per G.O. Ms. No. 15, and 15% seats remain under the unreserved quota.

Exam Pattern & Qualifying Marks

• Pattern: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (Objective Type).
• Medium of Exam: English.
• Exam Duration: 100 Minutes (11:00 AM to 12:40 PM).
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • General / BC / In-Service: Minimum 40% marks in the entrance examination.
  • SC / ST / PH: Minimum 35% marks in the entrance examination.

  • AGRICET: English medium syllabus covered in Diploma in Agriculture / Diploma in Organic Agriculture, latest varieties and technologies developed by PJTAU, Central & State Government agricultural schemes, General Agriculture, General English, and Basics in Computers.
  • AGRIENGGCET: Syllabus covered in Diploma in Agricultural Engineering, latest technologies developed by PJTAU, relevant government schemes, General Agriculture, General English, and Computer Basics.

Tie-Breaking Rules for Merit Ranking

1. Total marks scored in AGRICET / AGRIENGGCET 2026.
2. Aggregate percentage obtained in the qualifying Diploma examination.
3. Overall Grade Point Average (GPA) secured in SSC (Class 10).
4. Date of birth (older candidates will be given priority over younger ones).
