(Note: District jurisdiction for this recruitment is strictly the erstwhile Chittoor district. Only candidates who have completed their studies from Class 4th to 10th in the erstwhile Chittoor district will be considered “Local” candidates as per the Presidential Order).

Education Details

  • Record Assistant: Must have passed 10th Class (SSC) or equivalent.
  • Office Subordinate: Must have passed 7th Class.
  • Sweepers & Scavengers: Must be able to read and write Telugu, Urdu, English, or Hindi.
  • Cooks, Dhobis & Barbers: Must be able to read and write Telugu, Urdu, English, or Hindi, and possess professional skills relevant to the trade. (Note: Candidates must have studied from 4th to 10th class in the erstwhile Chittoor district to be considered local candidates; otherwise, they will be treated as non-local).

Salary

All selected candidates across the various categories will receive a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹15,000/-.

Age Limit

(As on July 1, 2026)
  • Minimum Age: 18 years.
  • Maximum Age: 42 years.
  • Age Relaxations: Candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, and EWS categories are eligible for a 5-year upper age relaxation (up to 47 years).

Selection Process

The selection methodology evaluates candidates through various assessments tailored to the applied post:
  • Record Assistant (100 Marks): Written Test (55 marks), Computer Practical Test (20 marks), and Interview (25 marks).
  • Office Subordinate (100 Marks): Written Test (75 marks) and Interview (25 marks).
  • Cook, Dhobi & Barber (100 Marks): Read & Write Test (15 marks), Trade Skill Test (60 marks), and Interview (25 marks).
  • Sweeper & Scavenger (100 Marks): Read & Write Test (20 marks) and Interview (80 marks).

  • All Categories: Nil (No application fee is specified in the notification).

How to Apply

  • Visit the official Chittoor district website at chittoor.ap.gov.in to download the application form.
  • Fill out the application form with accurate personal, educational, and contact details.
  • Affix a latest passport-size photograph on the form.
  • Attach copies of all required documents duly attested by a Gazetted Officer. These include SSC/qualifying marks memos, pass certificates, Aadhaar card (mandatory), caste/EWS certificates, and study certificates from Class IV to X.
  • Submit the completed application form along with enclosures either in person or via post to: The Commandant, 8th (IR) Bn., APSP, C/o District Police Training Centre, Iruvaram (V) & (P), Chittoor District – 517128.
  • Ensure the application reaches the office before 5:00 PM on September 15, 2026.
