The APPSC has announced 41 state-wide vacancies for the Assistant Environmental Engineer post. This includes 40 fresh vacancies and 1 carried forward vacancy, distributed among various categories.

APPSC AEE Education Details & Eligibility

• Candidates must possess a B.E/B.Tech Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering from a recognized University in India.

• Alternatively, candidates who have passed Section “A” and “B” of the AMIE (India) Civil Examination are also eligible.

APPSC AEE Salary / Pay Scale

APPSC AEE Age Limit 

• The minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum is 44 years as of July 1, 2026.

• Age Relaxations:

  • SC, ST, BCs, and EWS candidates: 5 years.

  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PBD): 10 years.

  • Ex-Servicemen and N.C.C. Instructors: Allowed to deduct 3 years in addition to the length of service.

  • Regular A.P. State Government Employees: Allowed to deduct length of regular service up to 5 years.

APPSC AEE Selection Process

The selection relies on the merit obtained in the Written Examination, followed by a mandatory Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

• Written Examination (Degree Standard): Comprises two papers, both objective type.

  • Paper-I: General Studies & Mental Ability (150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks).

  • Paper-II: Common Subject (150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks).

• Total Marks: 300 Marks.

• Negative Marking: A penalty of 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

• Minimum Qualifying Marks: OC/Sportspersons/EWS (40%), BC (35%), and SC/ST/PBDs (30%).

APPSC AEE Application Fee

• Application Processing Fee: Rs. 250/-

• Examination Fee: Rs. 80/-

Fee Exemptions

The following categories are exempted from paying the Rs. 80/- examination fee (they are only required to pay the Rs. 250/- processing fee):

• SC, ST, BC, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PBDs), and Ex-Servicemen

• Families possessing a Household Supply White Card issued by the Civil Supplies Department, A.P. Government (Residents of Andhra Pradesh)

• Un-employed youth (as per G.O.Ms.No.439, G.A (Ser-A) Dept., dated: 18/10/1996) upon submission of a declaration at the appropriate time

Note: Applicants belonging to the above categories from other states (except PBDs and Ex-Servicemen) are not eligible for the fee exemption and must pay the full prescribed fee of Rs. 330/-.
