Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (As on 1st July 2026)
Maximum Age: Candidates must not have attained the age of 44 years. They must be born on or after 2nd July 1982.
Age Relaxation: An upper age limit relaxation of 5 years applies to Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and AP State Government employees. Ex-Servicemen and NCC Cadet Corps Instructors are eligible for 3 years of relaxation plus the length of their service.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess the requisite degree from a recognized University in India as of the notification date.

Medical Standards
Candidates must possess sound health and meet specific visual standards. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid eye condition will result in disqualification. Physically/Orthopedically handicapped candidates or those with hearing defects and abnormal psychological behavior are not considered eligible.
Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates appointed to the posts of Scientific Assistant (Physical, Chemical, and Biology/Serology) will receive a pay scale of Rs. 44,570/- to 1,27,480/- under the RPS 2022 guidelines. Appointees will be covered by the Contributory Pension Scheme.

Selection Process
The selection for Scientific Assistants in AP FSL is purely based on merit and involves the following stages:
Written Examination: There is no Preliminary Written Test. Candidates will directly appear for a Written Examination carrying 120 marks. The test will consist of 120 objective-type questions and will last for 2 hours, conducted exclusively in the English language.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: OC (including EWS): 40%, BCs: 35%, SCs/STs: 30%.
Certificate Verification: Candidates will be required to present all original certificates (Educational, SSC, Community, NCL, EWS, Study/Residence) during the verification process.
Final Selection: Strict relative merit will be determined based on the total score obtained in the written exam (120 marks), factoring in reservation rules.
