Education Details
- Assistant Professor (Anatomy): Post-Graduate degree in Anatomy (e.g., MS, MD, DNB, or MBBS with M.Sc Anatomy) from a recognised teaching institute, plus 3 years of teaching experience.
- Assistant Professor (General Medicine): Recognised MBBS degree alongside a Postgraduate degree in Medicine/General Medicine (MD/DNB) and 3 years of teaching experience.
- Assistant Editor: Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Mass Communication, or a Bachelor’s degree with Economics, Statistics, or English plus a 1-year Journalism diploma. Requires 3 years of editing and publishing experience.
- Specialist Grade II (Anaesthesiology & Paediatrics): MBBS with MD/MS/Diploma in the concerned speciality, along with 3 years (post-degree) or 5 years (post-diploma) experience.
- Assistant Public Prosecutor: Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognised university along with at least 3 years of experience at the bar.
- Public Law Officer (Ladakh): Professional or integrated Degree in Law with 2 years of practice at the bar, plus a valid UT of Ladakh Domicile Certificate.
Salary
- Level 11 + NPA: Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Anatomy & General Medicine), Specialist Grade II (Anaesthesiology & Paediatrics).
- Level 10: Assistant Public Prosecutor.
- Level 08: Public Law Officer / District Litigation Officer / Law Officer.
- Level 07: Assistant Editor.
Age Limit
- 30 Years: Assistant Editor (UR limit).
- 35 Years: Assistant Public Prosecutor (UR/EWS limit).
- 40 Years: Assistant Professor Anatomy and General Medicine (UR/EWS), Public Law Officer (ST).
- 45 Years: Specialist Grade II Pediatrics (EWS).
- 50 Years: Specialist Grade II Anaesthesiology (ST). (Age relaxations apply for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates as per Government rules.)
Selection Process
The selection is primarily interview-based. If the number of applications is high, UPSC may adopt shortlisting criteria such as desirable qualifications, higher educational qualifications, enhanced experience, or a Computer-Based Recruitment Test (RT) to limit the number of candidates called for the interview.
