What is CRE
The Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-2025 is a special-purpose recruitment initiative aimed at enabling timely appointments to various regular Non-Faculty Group-B and Group-C posts across participating All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and other Central Government Institutes/Bodies. These participating entities are autonomous bodies or subordinate offices under the administrative control of the Government of India, functioning independently and separately from AIIMS, New Delhi.
The Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-2025 is for the recruitment of various posts at participating AIIMS and Central Government Institutes/bodies, where each institute is an autonomous body/subordinate office and an independent organisation under the Government of India. AIIMS, New Delhi, is only examining all participating Institutes based on the details provided by the respective organisations.

Selection Process
- Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)- The CBT will be held for a total of 400 marks. The CBT will be conducted in five sections with a time limit of 18 minutes per section.
- Stage 2: Skill Test (For Specific Post) – Qualified candidates in the CBT exam will be called to the skill test. The skill test is qualifying in nature.
- Stage 3: Document Verification/ Final Selection List – In the DV process the original certificates/documents of provisionally selected candidates will be verified by respective AIIMS/Institutes. The final selection of candidates for any of the posts in a group will be based on the candidates’ performance in the CBT exam.
How to Apply
All candidates who wish to apply for the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-2025 for the various Group-B & C posts as per the above details are required to apply online on the website www.aiimsexams.ac.in.
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
The duration of the examination shall be 90 minutes.
100 MCQs of 400 marks with four alternatives for each question where each question will carry 4 marks.
25 MCQs related to General Knowledge & Aptitude, Knowledge of Computer & 75 MCQs related to the domain of respective group. The syllabus will be in accordance with education qualification and experience (essential/desirable) as mentioned in the Advertisement as applicable.
Question paper will be divided in 5 sections each of 18 minutes duration, where each section will contain 20 question. Following will be applicable :
Each section will appear one by one during the 90 minutes duration at one time only. Access to visible/active part to view/answer will be disabled after lapse of set duration and next section will be automatically activated/ visible and so on. Examination will be submitted automatically after specified duration.
You will be allowed only to attempt questions in the currently active section which will remain enable for set time and it will never come back again for any action after
Medium of Examination
For all groups where qualification is 10th/Matriculation/10+2 – Examination will be held in English as Well Hindi i.e. Question Paper will be Bilingual (English/Hindi).
AIIMS CRE 2025 Exam Pattern
- The CRE AIIMS Exam consists of a total of 100 MCQ questions.
- For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded.
- The time duration of the exam will be 90 minutes.
- There will be a negative marking of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer.
- The qualifying marks will be 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for OBC, and 30% for SC & ST.
