The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released the Detailed Recruitment Advertisement for the Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5). • Commencement of Online Registration: 13th June 2026

• Closing Date for Online Registration: 3rd July 2026 (Up to 5:00 PM)

• Status of Application Form Availability: 11th July 2026

• Date of Computer Based Test (CBT): 25th to 27th July 2026 (Tentative)

Exam Pattern & Details

The CRE-5 will be conducted purely in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format.

• Duration: 90 Minutes (1.5 Hours)

• Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

• Total Marks: 400 Marks (4 marks awarded for each correct answer)

• Sectional Breakdown: 20 MCQs focused on General Knowledge, Aptitude, and Computer Literacy; and 80 MCQs dedicated to the Domain/Subject specific to the applied post.

• Negative Marking: 1/4 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

• Qualifying Criteria: 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for OBC, and 30% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates.

Eligibility Details

Candidates must thoroughly check the specific educational and experience requirements as per the Recruitment Rules (RRs) for their desired posts before applying.

• Age Limit: The age limit varies depending on the specific post group, generally ranging from 18 to 35 years. Standard age relaxations apply for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years) as per government norms.

• Educational Qualifications: The required qualifications are broad, ranging from Matriculation (10th Pass), 10+2, ITI, and Diplomas, to Bachelor’s Degrees (B.Sc., B.E./B.Tech., B.A., B.Com) and Master’s Degrees. The exact requirement strictly depends on the chosen role (e.g., Junior Engineer, Pharmacist, Lab Technician, Administrative Officer, Dietician, etc.).

How to Apply

1. Visit the official AIIMS examination portal at www.aiimsexams.ac.in.

2. Go to the “Recruitment” section and click on “Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5)”.

3. Complete the initial Online Registration to generate your unique Candidate ID and Password.

4. Log in and fill out the detailed application form with your personal, educational, and experience details.

5. Upload scanned copies of your recent photograph, signature, and left thumb impression as per the prescribed format.

6. Pay the applicable application fee online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Netbanking.

7. Submit the form and take a printout of the final confirmation page for future reference.
