Educational Qualifications

Post	Eligibility Criteria
Professor	A medical qualification included in the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 and a post-graduate qualification in the relevant discipline or an equivalent recognized qualification. For hospital administration, a specific MD or Master’s degree in Hospital Administration is required. After obtaining their post-graduate qualification, candidates must also have at least 14 years of teaching and/or research experience in the specialized subject.
Additional Professor	A medical qualification included in the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 and a post-graduate qualification in the relevant discipline or an equivalent recognized qualification. For hospital administration, a specific MD or Master’s degree in Hospital Administration is required. Candidates must have 10 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution within the specialized subject area. This experience should be obtained after completing the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or an equivalent recognized qualification.
Associate Professor	A medical qualification included in the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 and a post-graduate qualification in the relevant discipline or an equivalent recognized qualification. For hospital administration, a specific MD or Master’s degree in Hospital Administration is required. Candidates must have 6 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution within the specialized subject area. This experience should be acquired after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or an equivalent recognized qualification.
Assistant Professor	A medical qualification included in the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 and a post-graduate qualification in the relevant discipline or an equivalent recognized qualification. For hospital administration, a specific MD or Master’s degree in Hospital Administration is required. Candidates must have 3 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution within the specialized subject area. This experience should be obtained after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or an equivalent recognized qualification.
