Note: LR stands for Limited Recruitment, representing backlog vacancies that will be filled by local candidates of the respective revenue district only. DR stands for Direct Recruitment, which includes vacancies for Special Categories and 75% of vacancies in Scheduled Areas.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications (As on 1st July 2026)

  • Constable (Civil/AR), Firemen & Warders: Must have passed Intermediate or equivalent. SC/ST candidates must have passed SSC, studied Intermediate, and appeared for the 1st and 2nd-year exams.

  • Constable (Mechanics): SSC or equivalent and an ITI Certificate in Wiremen, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, or Fitter.

  • Constable (Drivers): Intermediate OR SSC with an ITI Certificate in Auto Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, or Fitter. Must also possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License for at least two continuous years.

  • Constable (Communications): SSC with an ITI Certificate (Electronic Mechanic, IT & Electronic System Maintenance, Computer Operator, Mechanic Consumer Electronics, or Electrician) OR Intermediate (MPC) / Vocational Intermediate in EET or Electrical Technician.

2. Age Limit (As on 1st July 2026)

  • Constable (Civil, AR, Mechanics, Communications): 18 to 24 Years.

  • Constable (Drivers): 18 to 27 Years.

  • Firemen & Warders (Men/Women): 18 to 32 Years.

  • Home Guards: 18 to 32 Years (Must have served for at least 360 days in the last two years).

Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for EWS, BC, SC, and ST candidates, and up to 5 years for AP State Government Employees. Further relaxations apply to Ex-Servicemen, NCC Instructors, and widows/divorced women as per state rules.

Physical Standards (PMT)

Men

  • Height: Minimum 167.6 cm (162 cm for Communications, Mechanics, and Drivers). Tribal candidates from specific agency areas: 160 cm.

  • Chest: Minimum 86.3 cm (84 cm for Comm/Mech/Drivers) with an expansion of at least 5 cm (4 cm for Comm/Mech/Drivers).

Women (Civil, AR, Warders, Communications)

  • Height: Minimum 152.5 cm. Tribal candidates from specific agency areas: 150 cm.

  • Weight: Minimum 40 Kgs. Tribal candidates from specific agency areas: 38 Kgs.

Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.

  • OC (including EWS), BC, and Non-Local Candidates: Rs. 300/-

  • SC and ST Candidates (Local to AP): Rs. 150/-

Selection Process

The recruitment process varies slightly depending on the applied post:

1. Constable (Civil & AR), Firemen, and Warders:

  • Preliminary Written Test: 200 Questions / 200 Marks.

  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Includes a 1600m run, 100m sprint, and Long Jump.

  • Final Written Examination: 200 Marks for Civil, Firemen, and Warders; 100 Marks for AR Constables.

2. Constable (Communications):

  • PMT & PET: 1600m run (Qualifying).

  • Written Examination: 200 Questions / 200 Marks.

3. Constable (Mechanics & Drivers):

  • PMT & PET: 1600m run (Qualifying).

  • Trade Test / Driving Test: Practical skill test carrying 100 Marks (Qualifying nature, minimum 50 marks required).

  • Written Examination: 200 Questions / 200 Marks.
