Vacancy Details

ECIL is conducting this recruitment drive to fill a total of 21 vacancies. The positions are strictly temporary and are assigned for an initial one-year term, which can be extended up to four years depending entirely on project requirements and the candidate’s satisfactory performance.

Education Details & Experience

  • Project Engineer (PE-C): Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree with at least 60% aggregate marks and have a minimum of 3 years of mandatory post-qualification experience.

  • Technical Officer (TO-C): Requires a B.E./B.Tech degree with at least 60% aggregate marks and 1 year of mandatory experience.

  • Assistant Project Engineer (APE-C): Requires a Diploma with at least 60% aggregate marks and 1 year of mandatory experience.

  • Senior Artisan (SA-C): Candidates must be ITI passed out with a minimum of 2 years of mandatory experience. (Note: Apprenticeship in the relevant field for up to one year is also considered valid experience.)

Salary (Consolidated Emoluments)

  • Project Engineer: ₹40,000/month (1st year), ₹45,000/month (2nd year), ₹50,000/month (3rd year), ₹55,000/month (4th year).

  • Technical Officer: ₹25,000/month (1st year), ₹28,000/month (2nd year), ₹31,000/month (3rd & 4th years).

  • Assistant Project Engineer: ₹26,208/month (subject to revision per CLC guidelines).

  • Senior Artisan: ₹24,018/month (subject to revision per CLC guidelines). (Selected candidates are also eligible for medical insurance premium reimbursement, Company PF, and TA/DA on official duty.)

Age Limit

  • Project Engineer: Upper age limit is 33 years for UR candidates.

  • TO-C, APE-C, SA-C: Upper age limit is 30 years for UR candidates.

  • Age Relaxations: 3 years for OBC candidates. Candidates belonging to the PwBD category with at least 40% disability receive an additional 10 years of relaxation. A 5-year relaxation is applicable for candidates who were domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 01/01/1980 and 31/12/1989.

Selection Process

The selection methodology relies on successful document verification and subsequent personal interviews. Final recommendations are drawn based on an accumulated merit score out of 100 marks:

  1. Qualification: 20 marks allocated based on the aggregate percentage in B.E./B.Tech./Diploma/ITI.
  2. Relevant Experience: 30 marks total (scoring varies by post for initial and extra years of experience).
  3. Personal Interview: 50 marks.

  • Gather all original certificates and a set of self-attested photocopies. This includes 10th Class certificate (for DOB proof), educational qualification marks sheets, CGPA conversion certificates, experience certificates, category certificates (if applicable), and a valid Identity Proof.
  • Ensure that currently employed candidates bring a copy of their appointment order and recent pay slips.
  • Report directly to the respective walk-in venue for your zone on the scheduled date.
  • Ensure you arrive at the venue between 09:00 hrs. and 11:30 hrs. for registration, as candidates will not be permitted beyond this time.
