FMGE December 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for FMGE December 2025, a candidate must meet the following conditions:
Must be an Indian Citizen or OCI.
Must possess a primary medical qualification from a recognized foreign medical institute.
The qualification must make the candidate eligible to practice in the awarding country.
Final year results of the foreign medical qualification must be declared on or before the notified cut-off date.
Candidates from countries such as USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, who hold recognized qualifications may be exempt as per NMC rules.
Participating Institutes
FMGE is not linked to admissions in specific institutes. Instead, it is a qualifying exam required to obtain:
Provisional or permanent registration with NMC, or
Registration with any State Medical Council
Thus, all registered medical regulatory bodies in India accept FMGE results for issuing medical practice licenses.
