Trade-Wise Vacancy Breakup

Education Details

• Ex-ITI Candidates (Fitter, Electrician, Machinist): Must have passed Std X with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (with Science & Maths) under the 10+2 system and hold a National Trade Certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade.
• Ex-ITI Candidates (Carpenter, Painter, Welder): Must have passed Std X with at least 50% marks and possess a relevant NCVT/SCVT Trade Certificate.
• Ex-ITI Candidates (PASAA): Passed Std X (min 50% marks) with an NCVT/SCVT Certificate in IT, COPA, Database System Assistant, or Software Testing Assistant.
• Freshers (Fitter, Electrician, Machinist): Passed Std X with minimum 50% aggregate marks with Science & Mathematics under 10+2 system.
• Freshers (Carpenter, Painter, Welder): Passed Std X with minimum 50% aggregate marks under 10+2 system.
• Freshers (MLT Radiology & Pathology): Passed Std XII examination under 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
• State Jurisdiction Eligibility: Applicants must be residents of or registered with a local Employment Exchange in the State of Tamil Nadu (exempted for wards of Railway employees).

Stipend Details

• Freshers (Class 10th Pass): Rs. 8,200/- per month.
• Freshers (Class 12th Pass / MLT): Rs. 9,600/- per month.
• Ex-ITI Certificate Holders: Rs. 9,600/- per month.
• Increment: A 10% increase in stipend is applicable during the second year of apprenticeship training.

Age Limit (As on 07.09.2026)

• ITI Candidates: Minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years.
• Non-ITI (Freshers) Candidates: Minimum 15 years and maximum 22 years.

Upper Age Relaxations

Selection Process

1. Merit List: Selection is strictly based on the merit list prepared using marks obtained in Class X (Std X).
2. Tie-Breaker Rule: If two candidates have equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age. If birth dates match, the candidate who passed Std X earlier will rank higher.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification where original certificates and Transfer Certificates must be produced.
4. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Authorized Gazetted Doctor (not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon).

3. Carefully read the notification guidelines and complete the online registration form.
4. Upload a recent passport-sized photograph in JPG/JPEG format (file size up to 200 KB).
5. Pay the processing fee of Rs. 100/- online (if applicable) and note down the transaction ID.
6. Submit the online application form and generate the system-generated acknowledgment printout for document verification.
