IIT JAM Admission Process
Candidates who qualify in any Test Paper of JAM 2024 will be eligible to apply for admission to specific academic programmes subject to the satisfaction of the Eligibility Requirements and Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs).
+ Admission shall be given as per merit, the reservation policy of the Government of India, and the availability of seats.
+ Proof of having passed the qualifying degree should be submitted by September 29, 2024.
+ Candidates promoted without a mark sheet should produce a certificate stating the subjects studied in that semester/year duly signed by the Head of the Institute.

+ Qualifying in JAM 2024 does not guarantee admission to postgraduate programmes or any scholarship/ financial assistance
IIT JAM 2024 is going to be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras on behalf of Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD). The candidates qualified in the exam can take admition to various masters programmes in institutes including Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs).
IIT JAM 2024 main aim to provide admission into M.Sc, M.Sc. Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other Post-Bachelor’s Degree Programmes at different IITs and Integrated Ph.D. Programmes at the IISc to which admissions shall be made on the basis of JAM 2024. Aspirants who ate Qualified in the IIT JAM 2024 can get admission into an applied course in colleges of the country. IIT JAM 2024 admission will be granted both Indian and Foreign nationals. - Click on New Registration
- Enter your name, Email ID, Valid Phone number and Password in space provided for them
- Submit the Details
- Enrollment Number and Password are received through Email
- Check the Enrollment number and Login with password
- Enter your Personal Details and educational Details
- Upload required documents needed such Photograph, signature, Category certificate, etc
- Finally, pay the Application pay through Electronic mode

IIT JAM Admit Card 2024
The Admit Card of JAM 2024 must be carefully preserved by the Candidate and produced at the time of admission if required by the Admitting Institute. No candidate will be permitted to appear in JAM 2024 examination without a valid Admit Card, and a valid and original ID. The Admit Card should be presented to the invigilators/JAM officials for verification. The Candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card for all the entries made therein. A printout of the downloaded Admit Card must be brought to the Test Centre along with the original and valid photo identification Proof.

IIT JAM Exam Pattern 2024
- IIT JAM Section–A Exam Pattern contains a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) involving 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each.
Note: For each wrong answer of 1 mark questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted and similarly for each wrong answer of 2 marks questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted - IIT JAM Section–B Exam Pattern
contains a total of 10 (MSQs) carrying two marks each. Each MSQ is similar to MCQ but with a difference that there may be one or more than one choice(s) are correct out of the four given choices.
Note: There are no negative and no partial marking provisions. - IIT JAM Section–C Exam Pattern
This section contains a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions involving 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each. No choices will be shown for these type of questions
Note: There is no negative marking in Section-C (NAT) as well.

IIT JAM Result 2024 – Rank Card
IIT JAM Results 2024 will be Available Soon. Based on the Result of IIT JAM 2024 Candidates can get admission into applied courses. For each test paper in JAM 2024, an All India Rank (AIR) will be assigned to all the appeared candidates based on their performance in the test paper. The candidate with a higher ratio of positive marks to negative marks will be given a higher rank. If this criterion fails to break ties, the concerned candidates will be awarded the same rank. The results (merit lists) will be declared after one month of the exam and the results will be available on the website i.e. jam.iitkgp.ac.in. The Score Card of IIT JAM 2024 Contains Name of the candidates, All India Rank and the mark obtained by the candidate will be available for download from the JAM 2024 website from dates released by officials to the qualified candidates.
