Education Details

Candidates must fulfill the following educational criteria to be eligible:

  • NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:

    • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (taking into account marks of all years/semesters).

    • Service: Should have served for a minimum of two/three years in the Senior Division/Wing of NCC.

    • Grading: Must have obtained a minimum of ‘B’ Grade in the ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.

  • Wards of Battle Casualties:

    • Degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

    • Note: NCC ‘C’ certificate is NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties.

Salary

  • During the training period at OTA, Chennai, cadets will receive a stipend of ₹ 56,100/- per month (Level 10).

  • Upon commissioning, officers will be placed in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix with a starting salary of ₹ 56,100 – ₹ 1,77,500 plus Military Service Pay (MSP) and other allowances.

Age Limit

  • Age Criteria: 19 to 25 Years as of 01 July 2026.

  • Birth Dates: Candidates must be born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2007 (inclusive).

Selection Process

The selection procedure for the NCC Special Entry 124th Course involves the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting of Applications: The Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications based on the graduation marks and eligibility.
  2. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a 5-day Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
  3. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical test.
  4. Merit List: Final selection is based on the merit list prepared from the SSB marks, subject to medical fitness and available vacancies.
