Educational Details

  • Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’ (01-03): M.E./M.Tech/MS/M.Sc (Engg) with minimum 60% (or 6.5 CGPA) AND/OR PhD in related fields. A B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) with 65% (or 6.84 CGPA) is also required as a pre-requisite.

  • Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (04-11): M.E./M.Tech with 60% (or 6.5 CGPA) and B.E./B.Tech with 65% (or 6.84 CGPA).

  • Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (12-16): M.Sc with 65% (or 6.84 CGPA) and B.Sc with 60% (or 6.5 CGPA).

Salary and Benefits

  • Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’: Pay Level 11 (₹67,100 – ₹2,08,700).

  • Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’: Pay Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500).

  • Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, Medical facilities, and Canteen facilities as per government rules.

Age Limit (as on 12.02.2026)

  • Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’: 18–35 years.

  • Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (M.E./M.Tech Based): 18–30 years.

  • Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (M.Sc Based): 18–28 years.

  • Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen as per Govt. of India rules.

ISRO SAC Scientist/Engineer Vacancy: Selection Process

  1. For SD Posts: Initial screening of applications followed by a Personal Interview. Selection is based solely on interview performance.

  2. For SC Posts: A two-level process consisting of:

    • Written Test: Includes Part-A (Discipline-specific), Part-B (Aptitude), and Part-C (Technical Descriptive for M.Tech candidates).

    • Personal Interview: Candidates are shortlisted for interview in a 1:5 ratio based on written test scores.

    • Final Panel: 50% weightage to written test and 50% to interview.

Application Fee

Initially, all applicants must pay ₹750. However, refunds are provided to those who attend the written test:

  • Full Refund (₹750): For Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen.

  • Partial Refund (₹500): For all other candidates (₹250 is retained as the application fee).

  • Note: No application fee is charged for Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’ posts (Post Codes 01-03).
