Madras High Court Assistant Programmer Exam Pattern 2025

PART-A

General English (Tamil Nadu State Syllabus – SSLC standard) (For 15 marks)

Minimum Qualifying Marks:6 (No negative marks)

PART-B

General Tamil (Tamil Nadu State Syllabus – SSLC standard) (For 15 marks)

Minimum Qualifying Marks: 6 (No negative marks)

PART-C

1	General Knowledge
2	Numerical and mental ability
3	Analytical and Reasoning Skills
4	General Intelligence etc

(In all, for 20 marks) (Degree standard)

Minimum Qualifying Marks: 7 (No negative marks)

PART-D

1	Basics of Computer Networks and Operating System
2	Application Development
3	Internet & Web Technologies; and
4	Software Tools and Techniques

(As per the syllabus provided in Para No.7 below) (In all, for 100 marks)

Minimum Qualifying Marks: 35 (For each incorrect answer, „1/4‟ (0.25) mark will be deducted)

Skill Test: (Maximum Marks: 50) (Minimum qualifying marks: 18):

In the Skill Test, candidates’ programming skills in computers would be tested, as per the syllabus provided below.

Viva Voce:

For Viva voce, the candidates will be shortlisted as per merit based on the marks secured by them in the Skill Test, from among the qualified candidates in the Skill Test, in the ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 or such number as may be decided by the Judicial Recruitment Cell, High Court, Madras with reference to the number of vacancies, from and out of the qualified candidates in the Skill Test, following the rule of reservation.
