NEST 2025: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) has released a Notification for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST). NEST is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to the NISER, Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai—Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. There are 200 seats this year, including reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC/Divyangjan candidates as per Government norms.

The Online Applications are being accepted from 17 February 2025 to 09 May 2025. And the Examination will be conducted on 22 June 2025 (Sunday).

NEST 2025 Application Fee

Female applicant: ₹700.00
Applicant of SC/ST/Divyangjan category: ₹700.00
Male/Others applicant of the General/OBC category: ₹1400.00

Payment can be made using credit card/debit card/UPI/net–banking through an online payment gateway.

NEST 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have to pass the Class 12^th Examination in any recognized University can apply for the NEST 2025.
Candidates have a Background of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or mathematics are eligible.
Candidates must also aggregate a minimum of 60% marks; for the Reserved categories, the minimum is 55% marks.
Candidates must be born on or after August 1^st, 2001.
There will be 5 years of Age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates.
