NICL Administrative Officers 2026: Eligibility
A candidate applying for the NICL Administrative Officer (Scale-I) recruitment must belong to one of the following categories:
- A citizen of India.
- A subject of Nepal.
- A subject of Bhutan.
- A Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates belonging to categories other than citizens of India must possess a valid certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Educational qualifications are reckoned as on October 1, 2026. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) from a recognized University or Institute approved by UGC/AICTE:

NICL Administrative Officer Jobs 2026 Salary & Benefits
Basic Pay: The initial basic pay is Rs. 82,485/- per month in the scale of Rs. 82485-4050(14)-139185-4390(4)-156745.
Gross Emoluments: Approximately Rs. 1,14,000/- per month in metropolitan cities, inclusive of allowances.
Perks & Facilities: Pension under the New Pension Scheme (NPS) governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, Leave Travel Subsidy (LTS), comprehensive medical benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, and company-provided or leased accommodation as per eligibility.
Service Bond: Selected candidates must execute a service guarantee bond of four years (including one year of probation) along with two sureties for an amount equivalent to one year’s gross salary.

The selection process is conducted in three successive stages:
