Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
Alternatively, candidates must be an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering (AMIE Civil).
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 21 years as of 1 January 2026.
Maximum Age: 42 years as of 1 January 2026 (Born between 2 January 1984 and 1 January 2005).
Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC, Women, and Ex-Servicemen categories. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are eligible for a 10-year relaxation (up to 15 years cumulative for SC/ST/SEBC PwD candidates).

Selection Process
The selection for OPSC AEE (Civil) will be strictly based on merit through a three-stage process:
Preliminary Examination: An objective-type screening test consisting of 100 Civil Engineering MCQs for 100 marks (1.5 hours duration).
Main Examination: Consists of Paper-I (General Studies, 200 marks) and Paper-II (Civil Engineering, 300 marks).
Interview / Personality Test: The final stage carries 50 marks to evaluate overall suitability for the technical and administrative roles.
Important Note: A negative marking of 25% will apply for every incorrect answer in both the Preliminary and Main examinations.
