OPTCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Apply Online 100 Diploma/ Graduate/ ITI Apprentice Vacancies

Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) has released an official recruitment notification for the engagement of 100 Graduate (Degree), Diploma, and ITI Trade Apprentices for a one-year training period. Interested and eligible candidates holding a valid domicile of Odisha can submit their online applications through the official portal from September 2, 2026, to October 1, 2026.

OPTCL has announced 100 apprenticeship seats across various technical and non-technical disciplines. Candidates will be placed across different units and offices of OPTCL located all over Odisha.

Education Details

Candidates must possess a regular, full-time essential qualification obtained from a recognized board, council, university, or institute passed during the academic years 2023-24, 2024-25, or 2025-26.

• Degree Engineering Apprentice: BE/B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science / IT, or Electronics & Telecommunication / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
• Degree Non-Engineering Apprentice: MBA (HR) / MSW / PG Degree in Personnel Management (for HR); M.Com or B.Com with Intermediate CMA (for Finance); LLM / LLB (for Law).
• Diploma Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Electrical, Civil, or Electronics & Telecommunication / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
• ITI Trade Apprentice: ITI pass certificate in Electrician or Electronic Mechanic trade. (Note: Candidates must hold the final passing certificate/marksheet as of July 1, 2026. Those currently appearing for exams or having prior apprenticeship experience are ineligible.)

Monthly Stipend

• Degree Engineering & Degree Non-Engineering Apprentices: ₹12,300 per month.
• Diploma Technician Apprentices: ₹10,900 per month.
• ITI Trade Apprentices: ₹9,600 per month. (Note: OPTCL will pay 50% of the stipend for Degree and Diploma apprentices, while the remaining 50% will be transferred directly via DBT by BOPT.)

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: Candidates must not be less than 18 years of age as of August 1, 2026.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the apprenticeship will be determined based on academic merit, written test, or personal interview, as deemed required by OPTCL.

How to Apply

• Step 1: Only Indian Nationals domiciled in the state of Odisha are eligible.
• Step 2: Ensure your bank account is seeded with your Aadhaar number for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
• Step 3: Degree and Diploma aspirants must register on the NATS 2.0 portal.
• Step 4: ITI Trade candidates must register on the NAPS portal.
• Step 5: After securing your registration/enrolment number from the respective portals, visit the official OPTCL website.
• Step 6: Click on the “HRD Section,” then select “Training & Development”.
• Step 7: Choose “Advertisement for Engagement of Apprentices 2026” and click on “Apply Online”.
• Step 8: Fill in all essential personal, educational, and Aadhaar/Bank details completely to avoid rejection.
