SAIL has invited applications for 124 Management Trainee (Technical) posts across multiple engineering disciplines. These positions are designed for young engineering graduates looking to begin their careers in a leading public‑sector infrastructure company.

Education Details

• Full‑time regular B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering discipline is required.

• Minimum aggregate marks: 65% for General/OBC/EWS candidates; 55‑60% for SC/ST/PwBD as applicable.

• Candidates must be under 28 years of age as of the cut‑off date (born on or after 5 December 1997) with applicable age relaxations for reserved categories.

Salary

During training: Basic pay of ₹50,000 per month in the pay scale of ₹50,000–₹1,60,000.
On successful completion of training: Absorption as Assistant Manager in E1 grade with pay scale of ₹60,000–₹1,80,000 plus allowances and other benefits.

Age Limit

Maximum age for General/EWS category is 28 years as of the specified cut‑off date. Age relaxation applies for OBC (Non‑Creamy Layer) by 3 years, SC/ST by 5 years, and other categories as per government rules.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

1. Computer‑Based Test (CBT)
2. Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI)
3. Document Verification & Medical Examination

Weightage: CBT ~75%–85%, GD/PI ~10%–15% (varies as per notification).

Exam Pattern

• The test is online, objective multiple‑choice questions.
• Negative marking is likely (typically ¼ mark for wrong answers).
