The TS SET 2024 Notification was Released on 4 May 2024. The TS SET 2024 Application process Started on 14 May 2024. The Last Date for Online Applications is 2 July 2024.

On behalf of the Telangana State Government, Osmania University has released the Telangana State Eligibility Test (TS TET – 2024) notification to recruit and promote Lecturers/Assistant Professors in Degree Colleges/Universities in Telangana as per the University Grants Commission Regulations.

Osmania University invited applications from eligible candidates to appear for the Telangana State Eligibility Test (TS SET) Notification 2024 to recruit various Lecturers in Colleges and universities in Telangana. Per the notification, the officials will conduct the TSSET 2024 Exam on August 28th,29th, 30th, and 31st, 2024. The test will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and consist of two papers. TS SET will be conducted in 27 subjects as per the schedule. The Eligible candidates can apply online till 2nd July 2024 on its official website, telanganaset.org.

TS SET 2024 Exam Scheme

TS SET 2024 Paper I and Paper II will be Computer Tests comprising 150 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), each worth 2 marks. The TS-SET examination will be conducted in General Studies and 29 subjects in CBT mode in 10 old districts of Telangana State.   Depending on the number of applications, Tirupati, Vizag, Vijayawada, and Kurnool will also be made centers. Candidates belonging to States outside Telangana will be treated as a General Category irrespective of their reservation.

TS SET Assistant Professor Post Notification 2024 The TS Assistant Professor Recruitment ( SET) will be organized through the State Eligibility Test, also called SET. Commissioner of School Education Telangana SET 2024 has been published. So, students who want to make their future in the teaching sector can apply for the TS SET Application Form 2024 by going to an official web portal.

TS SET 2024 Eligibility 

a. The candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree (i.e., M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA and M.Tech (CSE & IT only)) are eligible to apply. However, in the case of the Backward Classes (BC)/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Disability (PwD) category, candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree is eligible for this Test.

b. The candidates who are pursuing their Master’s Degree course or those who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally. They shall be eligible for Assistant Professor / Lecturer eligibility after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of BC/SC/ST/PwD (Persons with Disability) category candidates. Such candidates must complete their Master’s Degree examination within two years from the date of the SET result with the required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

c. Candidates belonging to the third gender, in other words, transgender candidates, would be eligible to receive the same fee, age, and qualifying criteria relaxation for the TS-SET examination as is available to SC/ST/ PwD categories.

d.The Ph.D. Degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991(irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.

e.Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post Graduation only.

g. Candidates are neither required to send any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility nor print out their Application Form (Confirmation Page) to the TS-SET office. However, in their interest, the candidates must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. Also, the candidates must show the original certificates at the stage of certificate verification. This applies only to qualified candidates. If the TS-SET detects any ineligibility at any stage, their candidature will be canceled, and they shall be liable for legal action.

h. Candidates having a Post-Graduate Diploma awarded by an Indian University/ Institute or a Foreign Degree/Diploma awarded by a Foreign University/ Institute should, in their interest, ascertain the equivalence of their Degree /Diploma with a Master’s Degree of recognized Indian universities from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
