TG TET January 2026 Notification: The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana State has released a Notification for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG-TET-JANUARY-2026) on the official Website at tgtet.aptonline.in/tgtet. Online applications are invited from eligible candidates who intend to be teachers for Classes I to VIII in schools. The Last date to Submit Applications is November 29, 2025.
Candidates can apply only online for TGTET-January-2026 to be held online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) between January 3, 2026, and January 31, 2026, with two sessions per day, in 2 papers, viz. Paper-I & Paper-II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to V have to appear for Paper I, and the candidates who intend to be teachers for classes VI to VIII have to appear for Paper II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII have to appear for both papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II.

All candidates who possess D.El Ed./ D.Ed. / B.Ed. / Language Pandit or equivalent qualifications and candidates pursuing final year of the said courses with requisite percentage of marks obtained as given in the Information Bulletin of TG-TET-JANUARY-2026 and who aspire to become teachers for Classes I to VIII in the schools of the State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad Schools, Private Aided Schools and Private unaided schools in Telangana State can appear for TG-TET-JANUARY-2026. Further, the candidates who got qualified in the earlier TETs can also apply for TG- TET-JANUARY-2026, if they desire improvement over their previous TET score.

TS TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
At the time of applying for TS-TET, candidates should possess the following minimum qualifications prescribed for the categories of I to V classes (Paper—I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper—II) separately.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR TS-TET PAPER-I (CLASSES I TO V):
(i) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks. However in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
(ii) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. In respect of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to the issue of these guidelines (23-12-2015).
OR
(iii) Graduation with at least 50% marks, however in the case of SC / ST / BC / Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) / Bachelor of Education (Special Education) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR TS-TET PAPER-II (CLASSES VI TO VIII):
(i) B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In the case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education).
OR
(ii) B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be40%. AND pass in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or been admitted to the B.Ed. course prior to the issue of these guidelines (23-12-2015).
OR
(iii) 4-year B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.
OR
(iv) Graduation with Language concerned as one of the optional subjects OR Bachelor of oriental language (or its equivalent) OR Graduation in literature OR Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/B.Ed with language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.
OR
(v) B.E/ B.Tech with at least 50% marks and Passed / Pursuing Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or B.Ed. (Special Education). In respect of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.
TG TET Qualifying Marks
The percentage of qualifying marks for different categories are as shown below:

The validity period of TET qualifying certificates for appointment, unless otherwise notified by the Government of Telangana, would remain valid for life.
TG TET 2026 Exam Fee
The exam fee prescribed for appearing for TGTET-January-2026 is Rs. 750.00 (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty only) for either only Paper I or only Paper II and Rs.1000 (Rupees One Thousand Only) for those appearing for both Papers I and II. Candidates can pay the exam fee through Online payment option provided at the website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in from 15.11.2025 to 29.11.2025.
How to Fill TS TET Application Form 2025
The candidate after satisfying herself/himself about the eligibility criteria for TGTET shall pay a fee First.
The Candidate should be ready with scanned copy of the photograph of 500kb and Signature of 100kb before filling in the Online application.
After successful submission of application form online, the candidate shall preserve the details of payment ID, Journal number etc., carefully for any kind of future correspondence.

TS TET Exam Pattern 2025
The question paper shall be bilingual i.e. English followed by the Language-I chosen by the candidates for all languages except Sanskrit. For the candidates choosing Sanskrit, the questions shall be in Telugu followed by Sanskrit (Devanagari script).
