UCO Bank, one of India’s leading public sector banks, offers 532 apprentice positions under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. Young graduates seeking to gain banking experience can apply through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal. Candidates must register on the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.inand apply for the UCO Bank apprenticeship programAs part of the selection process, candidates who have registered on the NATS portal and applied for the UCO Bank apprenticeship program will have to appear for an Online Entrance Examination to be conducted by the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC) on 09.11.2025 at 11 a.m. Last date for payment for eligible candidates for online examination and submission of additional information at https://bfsissc.com will be 05-11-2025.

Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.10.2025)

Nationality/ Citizenship

A candidate must be either (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before Jan.1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that of a candidates belong to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India.

The candidates applying for apprenticeship vacancies of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the local languages of that State. The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted during the process of document verification. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprentice. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the local language will not be required to undergo the language test.

Educational Qualification

Graduate degree from recognized University/ Institues approved by Govt. of India or its regulatory bodies. Candidate must have completed graduation and have Mark Sheets and Provisional/ Final Degree Certificate issued from the University/ Institute/ College for their graduation on or after 01.04.2021.

Stipend

A monthly stipend of Rs 15000/- (including subsidy amount if any by Govt. of India) shall be paid to the apprentice during the period of apprenticeship.

  • The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits.
  • UCO Bank will make a payment of Rs 10,500/- into the apprentice’s account on a monthly basis.
  • The government’s share of the stipend of Rs 4500/—will be directly credited to the apprentices’ Bank account through DBT mode as per the existing guidelines.

Age Limit

Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01.10.2025 i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.10.1997 and not later than 01.10.2005 (both dates inclusive)

  • Age relaxations:

    • SC/ST: 5 years

    • OBC: 3 years

    • PwBD (UR): 10 years, PwBD (OBC): 13 years, PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years

    • Widows/Divorced/Legally Separated Women: Varies by category

Selection Process

The selection process for UCO Bank Apprenticeship will consist of the following stages:

  1. Online Examination: The examination will be held on 9th November 2025.
