Salary Details

  • Posts are generally placed in Group ‘A’ or equivalent pay scales under the 7th CPC.
  • Basic pay is in the appropriate pay matrix level (commonly Level‑10 or above) along with Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and other admissible state allowances.
  • In-hand salary for freshly appointed Medical/AYUSH Officers in UP typically includes basic pay plus allowances as per prevailing government norms.

Exact pay level, pay band and grade pay (if any) may vary by post and should be verified in the official notification before applying.

Age limit

  • Minimum age: 21 years (for most Medical Officer and allied posts).

  • Maximum age: 40 years as on 01 July 2025.

  • Relaxations in upper age limit are admissible for reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PH, Ex‑servicemen and others) according to Uttar Pradesh government rules.

Selection process

  • UPPSC may conduct a written examination/screening test depending on the number of applications for particular posts.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview (personality test).

  • Final merit list will be prepared based on written exam marks (if held) and interview performance.

  • Document verification and medical fitness will be compulsory before final appointment.
