UPSC NDA & NA 1 Application Form 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the NDA & NA (I) 2026 Examination, inviting applications from eligible male and female candidates aspiring to join the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force as officers. The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is one of India’s most prestigious defence entry examinations, offering a direct pathway into elite military training academies after 10+2.

UPSC NDA & NA 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

The candidate must be:

  • A citizen of India, OR

  • A subject of Nepal, OR

  • A person of Indian origin migrating from select countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

Age Limit

  • Candidates must be born between 2 July 2007 and 1 July 2010.

  • Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.

Marriage during training is not permitted.

Physical Standards for NDA & NA 2026

Candidates must be physically and medically fit according to defence standards.

General Physical Requirements

  • Good physical and mental health

  • No chronic diseases or disabilities

  • Normal hearing and vision fitness

  • No history of psychiatric illness

Height Standards (Approx.)

  • Army & Navy: Minimum 157 cm

  • Air Force: Minimum 163 cm

  • Relaxations apply for certain regions as per rules

Candidates must also clear medical examination conducted by military authorities.
