WBPDCL Technician Apprentices Jobs: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Technician Apprentice (Graduate in Engineering): Graduate Degree (04) years full-time course) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation/ Mining from any institute recognized by the AICTE.

Technician Apprentice (Diploma in Engineering): Diploma (03 years full-time course) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation from any institute recognized by the ICTE or from any institute recognized by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.

Age Limit

The candidates’ age must be 18 years and the maximum age of the candidates should be 25 years as on July 1, 2023. There will be age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per government norms.

WBPDCL Technician Apprentices: Salary Details

Selected candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs. 8,000/- per month. The recruiting organization pays Rs. 9,000/- per month for Technician Apprentices and Rs. 9,000/- per month for Graduate Apprentices.

WBPDCL Jobs 2023: Selection Process

• Candidates will be invited for a personal interview (PI) based on the percentage of marks obtained in their degree/diploma engineering at a 1:5 ratio, taking into account the respective reservation norms.
• The selected candidates will be required to sign Apprenticeship Training Contracts with WBPDCL online for a period of one year of training in accordance with the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the rules framed thereunder.
• The Apprenticeship Contract will automatically terminate upon completion of such apprenticeship training / stipulated period. WBPDCL is under no obligation to offer any employment in the future.
