CEETA PG 2026 Application (Open) Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus

Applications are invited for the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG – 2026) to be conducted by Anna University, Chennai, on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu, from candidates who seek admission to M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Degree Programmes for the academic year 2026-27 are offered at University Departments, Constituent Colleges of Anna University, Annamalai University, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges only.

A Limited number of monthly Scholarships offered by the Government of Tamil Nadu are available to students on merit, in accordance with reservation norms, to pursue higher studies. Technical Institutions funded by the Central Government and affiliated to Anna University may also join this admission process. Self-Financing Engineering Colleges may also use the CEETA-PG score for their admission process.

Online Applications are accepted from March 16, 2026, and the Last date for registration is April 4, 2026.  The CEETA PG 2026, Common Engineering Entrance Test & Admission (CEETA) for Postgraduates (PG) will take place on May 10, 2026, between 10 AM and Noon.

CEETA PG 2026: Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have passed a bachelor’s degree exam in the relevant field by obtaining at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category candidates).
• Those who have a B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. Degree or B.Pharm. Degree or Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts or 10 + 2 + AMIE or 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE can also apply.

GATE Category Candidates:

Candidates who have valid GATE score are not eligible for admission in post graduation courses and they do need to write the CEETA PG 2026 exam. GATE qualified candidates in Engineer Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) also have to appear for the CEETA 2026.

• Engineering Mathematics: Determinants and Matrices, Calculus and Differential Equations, Vector Calculus, Functions of Complex Variables and Complex Integration, Transforms, Numerical Methods, Applied Probability.
• Basic Engineering and Sciences: Applied Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computers, and Chemistry.
