Airports Authority of India (AAI), Eastern Region, Kolkata, has officially released a notification (Advt. No. 01/2026/ER/APPRENTICE) for the engagement of Graduate, Diploma, and ITI Apprentices for the year 2026–27. This recruitment drive aims to fill 140 apprenticeship seats across various airports and regional headquarters in the Eastern Region. Eligible candidates who have passed their relevant degree, diploma, or ITI course in or after 2024 can apply online through the respective apprenticeship web portals.

Vacancy Details

Airports Authority of India (AAI) Eastern Region has released 140 vacancies for one-year apprenticeship training across various airports. The available positions are distributed among Graduate Apprentices, Diploma Apprentices, and ITI Apprentices to provide practical technical exposure.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate Apprentice: Candidates must possess a Degree in Engineering or relevant field passed in or after 2024 as on 30/06/2026 from a recognized university or institute.

• Diploma Apprentice: Candidates must possess a 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology passed in or after 2024 as on 30/06/2026 from a recognized technical board or institute.

• ITI Apprentice: Candidates must have passed ITI (National or State Trade Certificate) in relevant trades in or after 2024 as on 30/06/2026 from a recognized institute.

• Domicile Condition: Candidates must belong to the Eastern Region states/UTs (West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim, or Andaman & Nicobar Islands).

Stipend Details

Selected candidates will receive monthly stipend support during their 1-year training period under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961:

• Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 15,000/- per month

• Diploma Apprentices: Rs. 12,000/- per month

• ITI Apprentices: Rs. 9,600/- per month for the first year of training. For NTC/STC trade certificate holders where prior school/institute training is accounted for, the second-year stipend rate is payable at Rs. 10,560/- per month.

Age Limit

• Age relaxation and rules apply as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended) and organization policies.

• Candidates should check the respective apprenticeship portal guidelines for specific age requirements.

Selection Process

• Selection of candidates will be governed by the Apprentices Act 1961 (as amended in 1973 and till date) and AAI policies.

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit in their qualifying examinations (Degree / Diploma / ITI marks) followed by document verification.

Application Fee

• No application fee is required to register on NATS or NAPS portals.

   • Graduate & Diploma Candidates: Register on the NATS Portal.

   • ITI Candidates: Register on the NAPS Portal.

2. Complete candidate profile registration with accurate educational and personal details.

3. Search for the relevant AAI Establishment ID corresponding to your preferred airport/location.

4. Submit the online application for the desired location/post directly through the portal.

5. Keep a soft copy or printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
