AIIMS BSc Admission 2026 Course Details

AIIMS offers diverse undergraduate programs with varying durations:

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing: A 4-year professional course focused on comprehensive nursing care and midwifery.

  • B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic): A 2-year program for registered nurses to upgrade their skills and qualifications.

  • Allied & Health Care Courses: Durations typically range from 3 to 4 years, often including a mandatory internship. Popular courses include:

    • Bachelor of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (MRIT)

    • B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT)

AIIMS BSc Notification 2026: Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the AIIMS B.Sc. Entrance Examination 2026, candidates must meet the following:

  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.

  • Age: Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026 (Candidates born on or after January 2, 2010, are not eligible).

  • Educational Qualification:

    • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing: Must have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum aggregate of 55% (50% for SC/ST). This course is for Female candidates only.

    • Allied Health Courses: 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST). Note: Some courses like Dental Hygiene specifically require Biology.

    • B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic): Requires 10+2 passing, a Diploma in GNM, and registration as a Nurse/Midwife with a State Nursing Council.

Selection Process

Admission is based entirely on merit through an online competitive examination:

  • Exam Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT) in English and Hindi (except Post-Basic, which is English only).

  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries +1 mark, while an incorrect response results in a deduction of $-1/3$ mark.

  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure at least 50% (UR/EWS), 45% (OBC), or 40% (SC/ST) to qualify.

  • Post-Basic Selection: Involves a two-stage process: Stage I (Written Test) and Stage II (Personal Assessment/Interview).
