Education Details

To be eligible for the Junior Resident post, candidates must meet the following strict academic criteria:

  • Degree: Must possess an MBBS Degree from a medical college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC).

  • Registration: Candidates must hold a permanent registration with the Bihar Medical Council (BMC) or the Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC) before the start of counseling.

  • Internship: Completion of the rotatory internship is mandatory.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be hired on a tenure basis for one year.

  • Monthly Pay: ₹ 65,000/- (Fixed)

  • Note: No other allowances such as DA, HRA, or NPA will be payable.

  • Minimum Age: Not Specified

  • Maximum Age (UR – Male): 37 Years

  • Maximum Age (UR – Female): 40 Years

Selection Process / Exam Pattern

Unlike many other government exams, there is no written examination for this recruitment. The selection is purely Merit-Based.

  1. Merit Calculation: The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the MBBS examination.

    • MBBS Marks: Weightage of up to 80 points.

    • Post Graduate Degree: Additional weightage (if applicable as per norms).

  2. Counseling: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and counseling starting February 11, 2026.

  3. Final List: The final selection is based on the verified merit rank and seat availability.
