Exam Details
The BPSC ASO Preliminary Exam was conducted to screen candidates for 41 administrative posts. The exam featured objective-type questions testing General Studies, Mental Ability, and General Science.
Selection Ratio: Approximately 16 times the number of vacancies (668 candidates for 41 posts) have been selected for the Mains.
Next Stage: The shortlisted candidates will now have to appear for the BPSC ASO Mains Examination. The schedule for the Mains exam and the application form filling dates will be notified separately by the commission.

On the home page, look for the notification dated 23.12.2025.
Click on the link titled “Results: Assistant Section Officer (Preliminary) Competitive Examination. (Advt. No. 37/2025)”.
A PDF document containing the Roll Numbers of successful candidates will open.
Use Ctrl+F (or the search icon on mobile) and enter your Roll Number.
If your roll number appears in the list, you have qualified for the Mains.
