Central Sanskrit University Recruitment 2025 Apply Online for 59 Assistant Professor, College Librarian Posts: The Central Sanskrit University (CSU), Delhi, acting as the nodal agency for the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. 02/2025 inviting online applications for 59 Teaching and Other Academic posts. This direct recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies for Assistant Professor and College Librarian across 16 Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalayas (ASMs) and Adarsh Sanskrit Shodh Sansthans (ASSSs) recognized under the Revised Adarsh Scheme-2022. The majority of the posts are for Assistant Professor in various traditional and modern Sanskrit subjects, including Vyakaran, Sahitya, Jyotish, and Darshan. Educational Details

Salary

Both the Assistant Professor and College Librarian posts are placed at Academic Pay Level-10 (as per 7th CPC), with a scale ranging from Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400.

Age Limit

The official notification does not prescribe specific age limits for the posts. Eligibility in every respect, including age, will be determined up to the closing date of the online application. The recruitment is strictly governed by UGC and Government of India norms and guidelines.

Selection Process

The recruitment process is conducted centrally by the Central Sanskrit University (CSU) on behalf of the grantee institutions.

The detailed selection procedure, which will be announced shortly on the CSU website, includes:

  • Scrutiny of Applications and Shortlisting Criteria.
  • An OMR based examination consisting of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Assessment Criteria for shortlisted candidates, including Video presentation, Assessment of Research Aptitude and Writing Skills, and PPT presentation.
  • Document Verification and Face-to-Face Interview for all shortlisted candidates.

Merit panels will be drawn subject-wise and institution-wise based on the recommendations of the Selection Committee.

The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online per subject applied for.

How to Apply

The application process requires both online submission and the mandatory dispatch of a hard copy.

  1. Apply only online using the link available on the CSU’s website, www.sanskrit.nic.in, under the “Recruitment/Notification” section.
  2. Applicants may choose up to 5 preferred institutions for a post, with an additional option to be considered for any remaining institution.
  3. Pay the application fee online strictly according to the category and prescribed amount.
  4. After online submission, the candidate must forward a duly signed hard copy of the application (separately for each subject).
  5. Enclose self-attested copies of all supporting documents and publications along with the hard copy.
  6. Send the hard copy by registered post to: “The Registrar, Central Sanskrit University, 56-57, Institutional Area, Janakpuri, New Delhi-110058”.
  7. Ensure the hard copy reaches the Registrar by the last date, 29.12.2025, by 6:00 p.m. (IST), as failure to submit the hard copy will lead to rejection.
