DRDO ITR Apprentice Posts 2026: Education Details
Graduate Apprentices: Candidates must hold a regular full-time B.E. / B.Tech / BBA / B.Com / B.Lib.Sc degree in the respective discipline from a recognized university or institute.
Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Candidates must hold a regular full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering, cinematography, or medical laboratory technology stream.
Mandatory Eligibility Conditions:
Pass-out Years: Only candidates who have passed their qualifying degree/diploma in the years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 as regular candidates are eligible to apply. Those who graduated prior to 2022 are not eligible.
Higher Qualifications: Candidates possessing higher qualifications than the prescribed level are not eligible to apply.
Prior Experience: Degree/Diploma holders who already have 1 year or more of job experience or apprenticeship training after attaining the essential qualification are not eligible.
NATS Registration: All applicants must be registered on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.

Note: Apprentices will not be provided any Government quarters, hostel accommodation, or transport facilities during the selection process or the 12-month training period.
DRDO ITR Apprentice Notification 2026 Age Limit
Minimum Age: Candidates must not be less than 18 years of age.
Maximum Age & Relaxation: Maximum age limits and category-wise age relaxations are governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprentice Rules, 1992, and NATS 2.0 / NAPS guidelines.
DRDO ITR Apprentice Posts 2026-27 Selection Process
Written Test / Personal Interview: Selection of shortlisted candidates will be conducted based on a Written Test, Personal Interview, or both.
Shortlisting: ITR reserves the right to adopt its own shortlisting criteria; mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility does not guarantee a call letter.
Credential Verification & Medical Fitness: Selected candidates will undergo document verification prior to signing the 12-month apprenticeship contract and must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining.

Step 1 (NATS Registration): Visit the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in and register your profile to obtain a valid NATS Enrollment Number.
Step 2 (Download Application Form): Visit the official DRDO website at drdo.gov.in and download the prescribed application form (Annexure-‘A’ in
.docxor PDF format).Step 3 (Typewrite the Form): Fill out the application form in CAPITAL LETTERS using a computer (typewritten only). Handwritten applications (except for the candidate’s signature) will be rejected.
Convert your CGPA into an exact percentage according to your university norms and mention the percentage clearly in the educational table.
Print the typed application form, affix a recent passport-size photograph, and sign the declaration at the bottom.
Attach self-attested photocopies of all required supporting documents:
10th & 12th Certificates and Mark Sheets.
