According to the official WBBSE notification, the regular papers will commence on February 15 and conclude on February 25, 2027. The board will conduct only one subject exam per day.

Language Paper Classifications

• First Languages (*): Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia, Gurumukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, and Santali.

• Second Languages (): English (if a language other than English is opted as the First Language) or Bengali/Nepali (if English is selected as the First Language).

Timings for Optional Elective Subjects (#)

While the standard exams run from 10:45 AM to 2:00 PM, specific elective subjects conclude at different hours on February 25, 2027:

• Sewing and Needle Craft: 10:45 AM to 3:00 PM.

• Computer Application: 10:45 AM to 1:30 PM (Practical exams will be organized internally by individual schools).

• Music (Vocal & Instrumental): 10:45 AM to 1:00 PM (Practical schedule to be announced later).

• Vocational Subjects: 10:45 AM to 12:30 PM (Practical exams handled by schools or the Sector Skill Council).

• Physical Education, Social Service & Work Education: Examination dates for these subjects will be declared separately by the board.

Important Guidelines for Students

• Reading Time: Students will get an exclusive 15-minute window from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM solely to read the question paper before writing starts.

• Schedule Alterations: The WBBSE Board holds the right to modify the declared dates or timings under unavoidable circumstances, with early formal notifications to all schools and students.
