GSSSB Draftsman Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

GSSSB has announced a total of 52 vacancies for the post of Draftsman. These posts are distributed among various circles of the Roads & Buildings Department, including offices in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, and Vadodara. Circle-Wise Vacancy Breakup (Major Offices)

Education Details

To be eligible for the Draftsman Class-3 post, candidates must meet the following educational criteria:

• Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess a 2-Year Certificate in Draftsman (Civil) trade from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) recognized by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or Gujarat Council for Vocational Training (GCVT).
• Computer Proficiency: Basic knowledge of computer usage as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Salary

Selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed pay basis for the first five years, after which they will be absorbed into the regular pay scale.

• First 5 Years: Fixed Pay of ₹ 26,000/- per month.
• Regular Pay Scale: After 5 years of satisfactory service, candidates will be placed in Pay Level-2 (₹ 19,900 – ₹ 63,200) as per the 7th Pay Commission.

Age Limit

Age is calculated on the basis of date mentioned in the official notification and relaxations apply for reserved categories.

Selection Process

The selection will be strictly based on merit through a competitive examination.

1. Written Examination (MCQ): A Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or OMR-based test comprising:
   • Part A: General Subjects (Reasoning, Maths, Gujarati, English, GK) – 90 Marks.
   • Part B: Technical Subject (Civil Draftsman Trade) – 120 Marks.
   • Total: 210 Marks | Duration: 3 Hours.
2. Document Verification: For candidates who qualify in the written test.

How to Apply

Follow these steps to submit your application form via the OJAS portal:

1. Visit the official OJAS Gujarat website: ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
2. Click on the “Online Application” tab and select “Apply”.
3. Choose “GSSSB” from the department list and locate “Advt. No. 357/2025-26 Draftsman”.
4. Click on “Apply Now” and enter your One Time Registration (OTR) number (Register if you are a new user).
5. Fill in the application form with accurate personal and educational details.
6. Upload your scanned Photograph and Signature in the prescribed JPG format.
7. Confirm the application and proceed to the “Pay Fees” section.
8. Pay the requisite application fee via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
9. Print the application confirmation and fee receipt for future reference.
