HURL Barauni Apprentice Recruitment 2025-26: Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL), a joint venture of leading Public Sector Undertakings like NTPC, CIL, IOCL, FCIL, and HFCL, has released a notification for the engagement of 33 Apprentice Trainees at its Barauni unit in Begusarai, Bihar. HURL, which operates a state-of-the-art Natural Gas based Ammonia-Urea complex, is inviting online applications for Technician and Graduate Apprentice Trainee positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The selection will be purely merit-based on the marks obtained in the essential qualification. Educational Qualifications

The applicant must have successfully completed the respective qualification on a full-time regular basis from an AICTE recognized institution as on 01.12.2025.

Note: Candidates with qualifications acquired through Distance Learning, Part-Time, Correspondence modes, or possessing higher professional qualifications (like B.Tech/BE, MBA, MCA/CA/ICWA, LLB, etc.) are not eligible for these posts.

HURL Apprentice Stipend Details

Stipend is payable as per the norms/rates of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961/1973.
Accommodation: Selected candidates must make their own arrangements for stay during the training period as no accommodation will be provided by HURL.
Employment: Selection and completion of apprenticeship will not confer any right to employment in HURL.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 18 years.
Upper Age Limit: 25 years (as on 01.12.2025).
Ineligibility: Candidates with more than one year of prior apprenticeship training or experience as of 01.12.2025, or those who have already completed or are pursuing apprenticeship in any other organization/HURL units, are not eligible.

Selection Process for HURL Apprentice Posts

The mode of selection is purely based on academic merit and document verification.

Shortlisting based on Merit: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in the essential qualification. There will be NO written test or interview.
- Tie-Breaker: If two or more applicants have the same marks, the applicant who is older in age (as per DOB in the 10th marksheet) shall be considered first.
Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will be called for DV.
Medical Fitness Test: Candidates must complete a pre-engagement medical fitness test by the District Civil Surgeon or equivalent authority as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Contract Approval: Appointment as Apprentice Trainee will be done only after successful completion of DV and Contract Approval of Apprenticeship on the respective portal.
