Education Qualification

Candidates must meet the following educational criteria from a recognized Board/University/Institute as regular full-time courses:

  • Technician Apprentice: 3-Year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electronics, or Electrical & Electronics) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).

  • Trade Apprentice (ITI): Matric with 2-Year ITI course in relevant trade (Fitter, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist) recognized by NCVT/SCVT.

  • Graduate Apprentice: Full-time Graduate Degree in any discipline (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, etc.) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).

  • Trade Apprentice (DEO – Fresher): Class 12th Pass (but below Graduate level).

  • Trade Apprentice (DEO – Skilled): Class 12th Pass with a valid “Domestic Data Entry Operator” Skill Certificate.

Apprentice Stipend Details

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Corporation rules. While the exact amount varies by location and qualification, the approximate range is:

  • Graduate Apprentice: Approx. Rs. 9,000/- per month.
  • Technician Apprentice: Approx. Rs. 8,000/- per month.
  • Trade Apprentice / DEO: Approx. Rs. 7,000/- to Rs. 9,000/- per month.

Age Limit as on 31st December 2025

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years.
  • Maximum Age: 24 Years.

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 Years.
  • OBC (NCL): 3 Years.
  • PwBD: 10 Years.

Selection Process

Unlike previous cycles, the selection for the Eastern Region 2026 cycle is besed on Merit List, Document Verification (DV), Medical Fitness

How to Apply

The application process is two-fold. Candidates must register on the government portal and then apply to IOCL.

  1. Register on Portal:

    • Diploma/Graduates: Register on the NATS 2.0 portal (nats.education.gov.in).

    • ITI/DEO: Register on the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).

  2. Apply to Establishment: Login to the respective portal, search for Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Marketing Division) – Eastern Region, and apply for the relevant opportunity.

  3. Fill Microsoft Form (Mandatory): After applying on the portal, candidates MUST fill out the Google/Microsoft Form provided in the notification to confirm their application details and choice of location.
