FTII JET 2024 Application Form (Open) Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus

FTII JET 2024 Registration: Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata (SRFTI) and, Film and Television Institute of India, Pune (FTII,) both, leading educational institutions in the art and craft of filmmaking and television production, need to go through a multi-stage selection process. The First Stage in this selection process is an All India Level written examination called as the Joint Entrance Test, 2024 (FTII SRFTI JET 2024). The FTII SRFTI JET 2024 scores are not allowed to be used by any other institute except the participating institutes i.e., SRFTI and FTII SRFTI JET 2024 is a written test of three hours’ duration consisting of objective type and subjective questions and will be conducted in 27 cities across India. Based on the FTII SRFTI JET 2024 score of the candidates, SRFTI and FTII will send call letters to the candidates for the Second Stage of the selection process and thereafter, on successful accomplishment of all the requisites, finally admit students in their full-time regular programs for the academic year 2024.

FTII JET 2024:Admission Process

Please note that each Institute i.e. FTII and SRFTI is independent to mandate their own eligibility criteria (including academic cut-offs and relative weights) and follow different evaluation procedures, post the FTII SRFTI JET 2024 selection process. Performance in FTII SRFTI JET 2024 examination is an important component for consideration in the selection process.
On the basis of performance in JET-2024, the list of candidates short-listed for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of the respective Institutes. Each institute will send interview letters to the short-listed candidates directly. The criteria for shortlisting may vary for different courses. FTII SRFTI JET 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for application for all courses (except Sound Recording & Sound Design and Art Direction & Production Design) in film wing group is Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. For Sound Recording & Sound Design and Art Direction & Production Design, the eligibility is as under:

Courses under the EDM (SRFTI) /TV (FTII) Group

The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for application for all courses (except Sound Recording & Television Engineering and Sound for Electronic & Digital Media) in EDM (SRFTI) / TV (FTII) group is a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. For Sound Recording & Television Engineering and Sound for Electronic & Digital Media, the eligibility is as under:

Candidates appearing for the final year of a Bachelor’s degree, and awaiting results, can also apply for FTII SRFTI JET 2024. The last date for submitting the final result/graduation certificate is 31st July. In case the result is not declared by the University/institution on or before 31st July 2020, such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme, only if they submit a passing certificate from the Controller of the Examination / Principal / Registrar of their University/institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective institute) stating that they have completed the Bachelor’s degree, on the date of the issue of the certificate.

FTII SRFTI JET 2024: Admission Process

This year, SRFTI will host the FTII SRFTI JET 2024 on the 6th and 7th April 2024 in two sessions (forenoon and afternoon), across 27 cities in India. As mentioned above, FTII SRFTI JET 2024 is a prerequisite for admission to any of the programmes of SRFTI and FTII. These programmes are:

FTII JET 2024 Exam Pattern

Each Question Paper will consist of 100 marks, which will be further sub-divided as below;

Paper I Part – A (Common to all specializations) Multiple Choice Questions
