NALCO Job 2026 Vacancy Details

NALCO has announced a total of 268 vacancies for Non-Executive positions. These openings are distributed among multiple technical and operational roles, catering to candidates with ITI, Diploma, and B.Sc qualifications.

Education Details

• Operator / Technician / Fitter / Electrical Roles: Candidates must have passed the 10th standard with an ITI (NCVT/NCVET) of 2 years duration in the relevant trades, along with an apprenticeship certificate.

• Mining Mate Gr. III: 10th pass with a valid Mining Mate Certificate of Competency (Restricted to open-cast Metalliferous Mines) issued by DGMS.

• Jr. Foreman (Mines): Diploma in Mining/Mining Engineering along with a valid Mining Foreman Certificate of Competency.

• Jr. Foreman (Electrical): Full-time regular Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a valid Supervisory Certificate of Competency (M.V/H.T/E.H.T).

• SUPT(JOT)-Laboratory: Candidates must have completed a B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry.

Salary Structure

• SUPT (Skilled Upgradation Practical Trainee): Selected candidates will undergo a 12-month training period with a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,000/-.

• JOT (Junior Operative Trainee): A stipend of Rs. 15,000/- per month for the first 12 months, and Rs. 15,500/- for the remaining training period.

• Regular Employment (TO Grade): Upon successful completion, placement in the regular scale of Rs. 29,500 – 3% – 70,000/-.

• Supervisory (SO Grade): Placed in the regular scale of Rs. 36,500 – 3% – 1,15,000/-.

Age Limit (as on the last date of application)

• SUPT(JOT) Posts: Maximum 27 years.

• Grade III Posts (Operator/Technician): Maximum 35 years.

• Jr. Foreman Posts: Maximum 40 years.

• Relaxations: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and up to 15 years for PwBD candidates, as per government guidelines.

NALCO Notification 2026 Selection Process

• Computer-Based Test (CBT): The primary assessment will be a 120-minute CBT consisting of 100 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (60% domain-specific, 40% non-technical) with no negative marking.

• Trade Test: For specific technical roles, a Trade Test will be conducted. The final weightage will be 60% for the CBT and 40% for the Trade Test.

• Document Verification & Medical Exam: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME).
