Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (as on 07.07.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 15 Years

  • Maximum Age: 24 Years

Upper Age Relaxation:

  • SC / ST Category: 5 Years relaxation

  • OBC Category: 3 Years relaxation

  • PwBD Category: 10 Years relaxation

  • Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation up to service period + 3 years (Max 10 years)

2. Educational & Technical Qualifications

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed SSC/Matriculation/10th class examination or its equivalent under the 10+2 system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.

  • Technical Qualification: ITI / National Trade Certificate affiliated with NCVT or SCVT in the relevant trade is mandatory.

  • Note: Candidates awaiting 10th or ITI results as of July 7, 2026, or holding Diploma/Engineering degrees are not eligible for this apprenticeship scheme.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Act Apprentice training is conducted entirely on a merit basis:

  1. Merit List Preparation: The merit list is generated by taking the simple average of the percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (10th) and ITI examinations, assigning equal weightage to both.

  2. No Written Test: There will be no written examination or viva voice.

  3. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates (1.5 times the number of vacancies) will be called for document verification.

  4. Medical Examination: Candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate in the prescribed format signed by an authorized Government Medical Officer (not below Assistant Surgeon).
