POLYCET 2026 Exam Pattern

There is a difference between the Exam Patterns of AP POLYCET and TS POLYCET. In addition to Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, TS POLYCET also includes Biology.

AP POLYCET – ఏపీలో నిర్వహించే పరీక్షలో… మొత్తం 120 ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి. ప్రతి ప్రశ్నకు ఒక మార్కు. వ్యవధి 2 గంటలు. మ్యాథ్స్, ఫిజిక్స్, కెమిస్ట్రీల నుంచి పదో తరగతి సిలబస్‌ ప్రకారం ప్రశ్నలు వస్తాయి. సెక్షన్‌-ఎ: మ్యాథ్స్‌ 50, సెక్షన్‌-బి: ఫిజిక్స్‌ 40, సెక్షన్‌-సి: కెమిస్ట్రీ 30 ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి.

TS POLYCET తెలంగాణ పాలీసెట్‌లో మ్యాథ్స్‌ 60, ఫిజిక్స్‌ 30, కెమిస్ట్రీ 30, బయాలజీ 30 మార్కులకు ఉంటాయి. పరీక్ష వ్యవధి రెండున్నర గంటలు. రెగ్యులర్‌ డిప్లొమా, ఆరేళ్ల బీటెక్‌లో ప్రవేశం ఆశించేవారు బయాలజీ రాయనవసరం లేదు. అన్ని కోర్సులకూ ప్రయత్నించాలనుకున్నవారు, ప్రత్యేక పాలిటెక్నిక్‌ల్లో చేరాలని భావించేవారు బయాలజీనీ రాయాలి.

POLYCET Syllabus for AP

The question paper for the Common Entrance Test for admission into Polytechnics consists of 120 questions. All questions are of the multiple-choice type. Students need to answer in the OMR Sheet, and the Model is given below. 

Each question will have a stem and four answers noted against 1, 2, 3, and 4. Of these four, only one is an appropriate answer to the statement given in the stem, and the other three are distractors. A few sample questions of the type in all subjects are shown here. The stem is given both in Telugu and English. The distractors are also given in both languages whenever necessary. All correct responses (Answers) to the questions must be entered separately by shading/darkening the circle/oval on the OMR Response Sheet provided.

The Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry syllabus for POLYCET-2025 is the same as that of SSC Examination of March / April 2025 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh.

Structure of the question paper:

The question paper for the Common Entrance Test for admission into Polytechnics consists of 120 questions.

The examination (POLYCET) will be two Hours long and consist of only one paper per the syllabus in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry of X Class (S.S.C.) Examination held in March/April 2025 as prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana State.
The POLYCET Examination will be conducted for 120 marks in Mathematics (50 marks) + Physics (40 Marks) + Chemistry (30 Marks).
Candidates willing to take admission into Agricultural Diploma Courses offered by PJTSAU attempt Biology Questions in addition to Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.
Attempting the Biology questions is optional for candidates desirous to be admitted into Diploma courses in engineering and non-engineering at Polytechnics of Technical Education.
