PSSSB Group C Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
All candidates must have passed Punjabi language up to the Matriculation standard to be eligible for any of the advertised posts.

Note: All candidates must have passed Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject at the Matriculation (10th standard) level or its equivalent as per Punjab Civil Services rules.
Age Limit (as of January 1, 2026)
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age (General): 37 Years
Age Relaxations: The upper age limit is relaxed to 42 years for SC and Backward Classes of Punjab, 45 years for State and Central Government employees, 47 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) of Punjab, and 40 years for widows, divorcees, and certain other categories of married women.

Selection Process
The selection pipeline depends on the post applied for:
Written Examination (All Posts): Candidates will take an Objective Type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) exam divided into two parts.
Part-A: A Matric-level Punjabi language test. This part is strictly qualifying in nature, and candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks.
Part-B: The core scoring section used to prepare the merit list. Each correct answer carries 1 mark, and there is a negative marking of 1/4th mark for every incorrect answer.
Typing Test (For Clerks & Translators): Candidates shortlisted from the written exam for Clerk (Legal, Accounts, IT) and Translator positions must pass a computer-based typing test. The test requires a speed of 30 words per minute in both English and Punjabi (conducted in Unicode Compliant Font Raavi).
Document Verification (Counseling): Candidates who qualify through the previous stages will be called for document verification based on their merit standing.

- Navigate to the “Apply Online” section and select the link for Advertisement No. 12 of 2026.
- Click on “Registration” to generate a User ID and Password using an active email ID.
- Log in with the provided User ID and fill out all necessary personal, educational, and category details in the online application form.
- Upload a recent passport-size photograph (or capture a live photo), a scanned signature, and all required educational and reservation certificates in PDF format.
- Pay the application fee online using the “Make Payment” gateway.
