SBI PO 2025 Notification has been released with Advt No. CRPD/PO/2025-26/04. State Bank of India invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (PO). The selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India. The latest recruitment drive has a total of 541 posts, comprising 500 regular vacancies and 41 backlog probationary officer posts. The Online Applications will be accepted from June 24, 2025, to July 14, 2025.
Candidates are requested to apply online through the link given on the Bank’s official website: bank.sbi/web/careers/current-openings. The prospective candidates who intend to apply for the Post are advised to apply only after carefully reading and understanding the under-noted contents of this notification.

Eligibility Criteria for SBI PO Jobs 2025
Essential Education Qualification
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.09.2025. Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 30.09.2025. Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering,
Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant etc. would also be eligible.
Age Limit to Apply for SBI PO
- Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2025 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2004 and not earlier than 02.04.1995 (both days inclusive). Relaxation in Upper age limit shall be as below:
- SC/ST Categories: 05 Years
- OBC Candidates: 03 Years
- Ex-Service Men: As per the Govt Rules.

Candidates who have already appeared for the maximum number of chances permissible are not eligible to to apply. The number of chances will be counted from the examination held on 18.04.2010. Appearing in Preliminary Examination will not be counted as a chance
Pay Scale/ Salary for SBI POs
Presently, the starting basic pay is 48,480/- (Plus 4 advance increments) in the scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The official will be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributory Pension Fund i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, Lease rental facility etc. and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.
The approximate CTC at the initial scale of pay at the Mumbai Centre is Rs . 18.67 Lacs.
SBI plans to offer, subject to necessary approvals, a SMART Compensation package that would enable candidates to choose how to monetize specific elements of the salary package.
SBI PO Exam: Selection Process
The examination will be held in two phases preliminary and main. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main examination and shortlisted candidates in the main examination will subsequently be called for a Group Discussion & Interview.

Application Fee will be 750/- for Unreserved / EWS/ OBC candidates and ‘Nil’ for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates. The Application Fee, once paid, will not be refunded on any account, nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
