SEBA Assam Academic Calendar 2024-25 Download Monthwise Activities

The Board of Secondary Education, Assam, has released the Academic Calendar for the Upcoming Session 2024-25. The SEBA Assam has already taken the initiative to implement NEP 2020 introduced by the Central govt. For This Academic year, the Board has taken some steps in the Education Policy. The Main highlights of this Session are – 

1. The Board of Secondary Education, Assam, has decided to introduce a new elective subject to impart education on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Robotics’ from the academic session 2024-2025 in class IX and from the academic session 2025-2026 in class X.
2. The practical marks of all vocational subjects (Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Garment designing, Woodcraft, Music, Dance, Yoga and Physical Education, Fine Art, Home Science, Weaving and Textile Design and all subjects under NSQF) shall be 50% from the Academic session 2024-2025.
3. The practical marks for Computer Science and Commerce will be 30%, as before.
4. The District level Internal Examination Committee will conduct the practical exam for all the subjects i.e. Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Garment designing, Woodcraft, Music, Dance, Yoga and Physical Education, Computer Science, Commerce, Fine Art, Home Science, Weaving and Textile Design and all the subjects under NSQF for both classes IX and also for final Board exam of class X, 2025.
5. The OMRs will be of four sets i.e ABCD
6. In English and other language subjects, not all the questions need to be from the prescribed lessons/chapters only. There may be unseen passages, grammar items, etc. The questions will bebased on the learning outcomes of the subjects.

Assam Academic Calendar 2024-25

The new academic session 2024-25 for the High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools (excluding+2 stage), under the academic jurisdiction of SEBA starts from I st April 2024. The schools will have to complete the following academic planning before the commencement of the academic session.

Academic Programme for 2024-25 includes:

Hold diagnostic tests in English and Mathematics for all IX students in class to identify weak students and undertake remedial classes at the beginning of academic sessions. Imparting remedial teaching in all subjects and all classes from time to time.
Holding all Examinations, evaluation and declaration of results.
Holding HSLC Examinations in March, 2025 in schools concerned Schools which are not Examination Centres.
shall remain open during the period of HSLC Examination and normal school programme should continue.
Organising Annual sports in school & Prize distribution ceremony.
Holding parents/guardians” and teachers’ meetings (PTM) after The yearly Examination of Class IX and Pre-Board Exam of Class X.

Pass marks 30% (Both for written examination & Internal Assessment) for the above-mentioned subjects. A student has to secure minimum 27 marks in written examination and minimum 3 marks in Internal Assessment tu pass.

Procedure for promotion of students to the next higher class (in the case of Class IX) :

Should be decided on the basis of marks secured in the two Unit Tests, the Half-Yearly Examination and the Annual Examination.
